I was inspired to use and explore the word "Sasya" by my very good friend, Dr. Ayyangar, in India. He reads Sanskrit and often shares with me his philosophical thoughts on ancient truths. I started with the word he suggested, looked for definitions and found "grain." I came to the conclusions I did in these pages before receiving the below message that confirmed my discovery and meaning..
After he had read these pages he wrote back the below message. (He and I are wroking on a book relating to the word "Ayurceutical" -- to define and explore it -- that word being a newly created word and thought based on the "Veda," "Ayurveda" and related concepts..
Dear Loren,
As always, your writings are fabulous. The way you have gone about your research in finding a new meaning to a word is creativity at its best.
Sishya --- is a disciple --- who fully absorbs and practices what is taught by a Guru.
Sasya --- means many things as you have seen, including grains. But the originating sound of this word (sa-aa-sya) in Sanskrit is --- "Dormant Principle that Perfectly Replicates when it materially Manifests."
A seed contains all the information & technology to make a huge tree by processing earth. But when you look at it scientifically or dissect it -- it is just a complex of nutrients. This is exactly similar to what I have been trying to explain --- on technology of Ayurceuticals. The "software" I was referring to, that is vital for restoring normalcy.
There is unseen information in the mix of nutrients called a seed or a grain. When the seed germinates, it starts by consuming the very nutrient that contains the information before starting to consume earth. But the information remains in the new transformed entity as it is -- unspoiled or uncorrupted. If goes on to transform the dead earth into a living tree.
But if you powder the seed, it cannot germinate. The software is lost. This is what I was referring to as "Structure - Function" manipulation. Our Creams are a complex of nutrients structured like that of a Seed with information embedded in it.
Now you can write more on Ayurceuticals.
Regards,
Dr. Ayyangar
Here is additional information on the names often used in martial arts:
Students are trained by a master instructor called sensei in Japanese, lao shih in Chinese (Wade-Giles), lao shi or shi fù (âold masterâ or âmaster fatherâ) in Pinyin, sifu in Cantonese, shih fu in Mandarin (Wade-Giles), and sabeomnim in Korean. The instructor directly supervises the students' training, and the students must memorize and learn to recite the rules and basic training routines of the school. (Source)
