Tour Of Korean Home Area Gallery

I was born and raised in the small town of Ha dong, in South Korea. In the map above, Ha dong is at the red dot to the left of the name. The larger mass of land to the right is Japan while the mass of land above that red dot is the main mass of the southern peninsula of South Korea. Ha dong is located on the largest island in the country of South Korea -- the island is called cheju-do sometimes spelled as Jin Ju.

You can start your tour of the photo gallery here. Click "Start" above. Note that the early pages in this tour deal with the island and whether or not the city of Ha dong has been accurately located. I have had to come to the conclusion that there are three different towns on this Island -- each is named Ha dong, but they are located in different areas.

At the time of first publishing this photo tour I had found many images of "Ha dong" but then came to suspect that these were images from a town in Viet Nam called Ha dong and thus discarded them beyond the first image above.

After the map series I have published the images from "Ha dong" even though they are probably NOT from the town where Grandmaster Moon grew up. When and as I get accurate data on this I will revise these web pages. Karl Loren
