Grandmaster Moon has the unusual ability to view her past in the form of pictures. Not only is the sight of some event or scene clear, but also she has the actual sound and other perceptions even including taste and smell.

Grandmaster Moon has a further ability with these pictures in that she can enter a picture and look under things which had not appeared in the first viewing. She is capable of something far more intriguing in that she can move about in the picture and move from one room to another and even open doors or cupboards to see what is there.

As grandmaster sees and describes these pictures a properly trained observer can see the same pictures with the same degree of vivid reality. The result is that this book is a very accurate account of actual events and understandings in Grandmaster Moon's life.
